Our Congregation
Covenant of Right Relations The term “covenant” is Latin for “come together” and means a “solemn agreement” or “promise from the heart” regarding a course of action between parties. The principles are what we value: the covenant is a living, dynamic document describing how we intend to live the Principles in our religious community. We the members of the Unitarian Fellowship of London, covenant to support and cherish all of our members and hold each other to these high standards of relationship. We value a free and open exchange of ideas. We honour all voices, and encourage freedom of expression from everyone. We respect each other’s views, backgrounds and spiritual ideas. We listen to each other without judgement or interruption. We avoid strangulation by triangulation; we speak with a person instead of about a person. We will be gentle but courageous in naming behaviour that diminishes our community. We offer forgiveness and understanding and strive to honour everyone’s dignity and well being. We trust these agreements will help us work well together, to make decisions, solve problems and express differences of opinion in a gentle and respectful way. Ways to Get Involved
MembershipSeveral times a year, we offer orientation sessions to acquaint newcomers with Unitarian*Universalism and our congregation. We encourage thoughtful discernment through our membership process. A History of the Unitarian Fellowship of LondonThe First Fifty Years
